María has worked across various media, including photography, filmmaking and installations. She
co-founded Vinnslan, a collective of Icelandic artists dedicated to interdisciplinary art projects, curating festivals and artistic productions. In 2023, they premiered a multi-disciplinary project at the Shakespeare Theatre in Gdansk. Her latest project,
“Fractures,” is an artistic short film and photographic series that premiered at RIFF and Bucharest PhotoFest in 2023. The project is now in development as a scripted TV series.
